What to expect your first visit
Your first visit will consist
of review of history and a physical with the doctor,
possible skin testing,
and medications
if ordered. The purpose of this visit is to obtain
extensive medical information concerning
your problem. If skin testing is indicated, the initial
appointment may be a half an hour or longer. If you
or your child to be evaluated is ill, no skin
testing will be done until they
are well; however, the history and physical evaluation
can still be performed at the
initial visit.
MEDICATIONS THAT CAN INTERFERE WITH ALLERGY
SKIN TESTING
When all information required is obtained,
the doctor will discuss your entire problem and outline
a detailed
course of action. If it is recommended that you are
to start allergy injections, your program of treatment
will
be discussed.
